The Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education and Training Center (NECA AETC) is part of a national network of 8 regional and 2 national AETCs. The NECA AETC works with individual health care providers, teams and clinical sites in New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands to provide targeted, multi-disciplinary education and training programs and capacity building assistance to improve care along the HIV Care Continuum.

Since 1987, the National AETC program has sponsored more than 700,000 training interactions for providers across multiple regions. Clinicians trained by AETCs have been shown to be more competent with regard to HIV issues and more willing to treat persons living with HIV than other primary care providers.
The part of a national network of AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETCs), administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau.
